reg 17 Extension of time
(1) The Chief Inspector may extend the period of 30 days prescribed in regulation 14(6), if the Chief Inspector considers that there are good reasons to do so having regard to the requirements in regulation 14(2) for a report of a safety investigation to be made available in the shortest time possible. (2) The Chief Inspector may extend the period of 30 days prescribed in regulation 16(4) where the Chief Inspector considers it appropriate to do so. (3) The powers under this regulation may be exercised not withstanding that the prescribed period has expired.
