reg 75 Duties of the appropriate authority in relation to registration of small producers

(1) The appropriate authority must grant an application for registration where an applicant— (a) has complied with the requirements of regulation 16; (b) is not a member of a producer compliance scheme; and (c) does not appear in the register of producers maintained by the appropriate authority under regulation 77 , otherwise the appropriate authority must refuse the application. (2) Where the application for registration is granted, the appropriate authority must, within 28 days of receipt of the application— (a) confirm to the applicant that he is registered with the appropriate authority; and (b) subject to paragraph (3), allocate a new producer registration number to the producer and confirm it in writing.
