(1) Where in order to mitigate the effects of very serious safety concerns the Secretary of State considers that an item or family of pressure equipment are to be subject to different categories of modules, the Secretary of State may by regulations make such provision. (2) Regulations made under paragraph (1)— (a) are to be made by statutory instrument subject to annulment in pursuance of a resolution of either House of Parliament; and (b) include power— (i) to make different provision for different cases; and (ii) to make such supplemental, consequential and transitional provision as the Secretary of State considers appropriate.
