Where severe conditions of erosion or abrasion may arise, adequate measures must be taken to— (a) minimise that effect by appropriate design, for example additional material thickness, or by the use of liners or cladding materials; (b) permit replacement of parts which are most affected; and (c) draw attention, in the instructions referred to in paragraph 30, to measures necessary for continued safe use.
