reg 11 Prior information to the public
(1) The GB Competent Authority must make available to the public information about the nature and effect of a radiation emergency. (2) The information to be provided under sub-paragraph (1) must include— (a) basic facts about radioactivity and its effects on persons and on the environment; (b) the consequences of a radiation emergency; (c) emergency measures envisaged to alert, protect and assist the general public in the event of an emergency; (d) appropriate information on action to be taken by the general public in the event of a radiation emergency; and (e) the authority or authorities responsible for implementing the emergency measures and actions referred to in paragraphs (c) and (d).
