1999/802/EC: Council Decision of 22 October 1999 on the acceptance of amendments to the Convention for the Protection of the Mediterranean Sea against Pollution and to the Protocol for the Prevention of Pollution by Dumping from Ships and Aircraft (Barcelona Convention)

Article 1

The amendments to the Barcelona Convention for the Protection of the Mediterranean Sea against Pollution and the Protocol for the Prevention of Pollution by Dumping from Ships and Aircraft are hereby approved on behalf of the Community.

The texts of the said amendments are attached to this Decision.

Article 2

The President of the Council is hereby authorised to notify the acceptance, on behalf of the Community, of the amendments to the Convention for the Protection of the Mediterranean Sea against Pollution and the Protocol for the Prevention of Pollution by Dumping from Ships and Aircraft in accordance with Article 16 of the Convention for the Protection of the Mediterranean Sea against Pollution(7).

Article 3

This Decision shall be published in the Official Journal of the European Communities.

It shall take effect on the day of its adoption.
