Appointment of Commissioner of Buildings and other officers

(1) The State Authority may, in respect of a local authority area or any other area, appoint an officer to be known as the Commissioner of Buildings and such other officers as may be necessary for the purposes of administering and carrying out the provisions of this Act. (2) The Commissioner, subject to any general or special direction of the State Authority, shall have charge of the administration of this Act and Parts VI and VII of the Strata Titles Act 1985 and shall perform such other duties as are imposed and may exercise such powers as are conferred upon him by the Strata Titles Act 1985. (3) Subject to any general or special direction of the Commissioner, the powers conferred and the duties imposed upon the Commissioner by this Act or any regulations made under this Act may be exercised or performed by any other officer appointed under subsection (1).
