Consumer Protection Act 1999 s 73
The Minister may establish the National Consumer Advisory Council to advise him on the following matters: (a) in respect of consumer issues and the operation of this Act; (b) the promotion of consumer protection and awareness in consumer affairs; and (c) any other matter which may be referred to it by the Minister for the proper and effective implementation of this Act and for the protection of consumers.
Penubuhan Majlis Penasihat Pengguna Negara
Menteri boleh menubuhkan Majlis Penasihat Pengguna Negara untuk menasihatinya tentang perkara-perkara yang berikut: (a) berkenaan dengan isu-isu pengguna dan pelaksanaan Akta ini; (b) penggalakan perlindungan pengguna dan kesedaran dalam hal ehwal pengguna; dan (c) apa-apa perkara lain yang boleh dirujukkan kepadanya oleh Menteri untuk pelaksanaan wajar dan berkesan Akta ini dan bagi perlindungan pengguna.
