s 36 Power of investigation

(1) Any Assistant Controller or a police officer not below the rank of Inspector shall have the power to investigate any offence under this Act. (2) For the purposes of subsection (1), the Assistant Controller or police officer may issue orders to a licensee to further his investigation and secure compliance with this Act. (3) In addition to his powers under subsections (1) and (2), an Assistant Controller or a police officer not below the rank of Inspector investigating an offence under this Act may exercise all or any of the powers in relation to police investigation in seizable cases given by the Criminal Procedure Code [Act 593].

Kuasa penyiasatan

(1) Mana-mana Penolong Pengawal atau pegawai polis yang pangkatnya tidak rendah daripada Inspektor hendaklah mempunyai kuasa untuk menyiasat apa-apa kesalahan di bawah Akta ini. (2) Bagi maksud subseksyen (l), Penolong Pengawal atau pegawai polis itu boleh mengeluarkan perintah kepada seseorang pemegang lesen bagi tujuan membantu penyiasatannya dan mendapatkan pematuhan terhadap Akta ini. (3) Sebagai tambahan kepada kuasanya di bawah subseksyen (1) dan (2), Penolong Pengawal dan pegawai polis yang pangkatnya tidak rendah daripada Inspektor yang menyiasat sesuatu kesalahan di bawah Akta ini boleh menjalankan segala atau mana-mana kuasa yang berhubungan dengan penyiasatan polis dalam kes boleh tangkap yang diberikan oleh Kanun Tatacara Jenayah [Akta 593].
