Optical Discs Act 2000 s 37

s 37 Additional powers

Any Assistant Controller or police officer not below the rank of Inspector may, for the purpose of enforcing this Act, do all or any of the following: (a) visit, enter, inspect and examine with or without notice any licensed premises at any reasonable hour; (b) require the production of record, books, accounts, computerized data or documents kept by the licensee and inspect, examine and copy any of them; (c) require the production of any identification document from any person in relation to any case or offence under this Act; or (d) make such inquiry as may be necessary to ascertain whether the provisions of this Act have been complied with.

Kuasa tambahan

Mana-mana Penolong Pengawal atau pegawai polis yang pangkatnya tidak rendah daripada Inspektor boleh, bagi maksud menguatkuasakan Akta ini, melakukan semua atau mana-mana yang berikut: (a) melawat, memasuki, memeriksa dan meneliti dengan atau tanpa notis mana-mana premis yang dilesenkan pada bila-bila masa yang munasabah; (b) menghendaki pengemukaan rekod, buku, akaun, data berkomputer atau dokumen yang disimpan oleh pemegang lesen dan memeriksa, meneliti dan menyalin mana-mana daripadanya; (c) menghendaki pengemukaan apa-apa dokumen pengenalan daripada mana-mana orang berhubung dengan mana-mana hal atau kesalahan di bawah Akta ini; atau (d) membuat apa-apa siasatan sebagaimana yang perlu untuk menentukan sama ada peruntukan Akta ini telah dipatuhi.
