Anti-Money Laundering, Anti-Terrorism Financing, Anti-Restricted Activity Financing and Proceeeds of Unlawful Activities Act 2001 s 7
(1) The Minister of Finance may, by order published in the Gazette, appoint a person to be the competent authority and such person shall have all the functions conferred on the competent authority by this Act. (2) The competent authority may authorise any of its officers or any other person to perform any or all of its functions or render such assistance in the performance of its functions under this Act as it may specify.
Fungsi pihak berkuasa berwibawa
(1) Menteri Kewangan boleh, melalui perintah yang disiarkan dalam Warta, melantik seseorang untuk menjadi pihak berkuasa berwibawa dan orang itu hendaklah mempunyai segala fungsi yang diberikan kepada pihak berkuasa berwibawa oleh Akta ini. (2) Pihak berkuasa berwibawa boleh memberi kuasa mana-mana pegawainya atau mana-mana orang lain untuk melaksanakan manamana atau kesemua fungsinya atau memberikan bantuan dalam pelaksanaan fungsinya di bawah Akta ini sebagaimana yang boleh ditentukan olehnya.
