s 76 Time to be allowed for suit by claimant
Where, after an enquiry made under section 75, the District Officer has reason to believe that the treasure trove was hidden within fifty years before the date of the discovery by a person appearing as required by the said notification and claiming such treasure trove, or by some other person under whom such person
claims, the District Officer shall make an order adjourning the hearing of the case for such period as he deems sufficient, to allow a suit being instituted in a court of competent jurisdiction by the claimant to establish his right.

Masa yang dibenarkan bagi guaman oleh pihak menuntut
Jika, selepas suatu siasatan dibuat di bawah seksyen 75, Pegawai Daerah mempunyai sebab untuk mempercayai bahawa harta karun disembunyikan dalam masa lima puluh tahun sebelum tarikh penjumpaan itu oleh orang yang hadir sebagaimana yang dikehendaki oleh pemberitahuan tersebut dan menuntut harta karun itu, atau oleh beberapa orang lain yang di bawahnya orang itu menuntut, Pegawai Daerah hendaklah membuat suatu perintah yang menangguhkan pendengaran kes itu selama apa-apa tempoh yang difikirkannya mencukupi, untuk membenarkan suatu guaman dimulakan dalam mahkamah yang mempunyai bidang kuasa yang berwibawa oleh pihak menuntut untuk membuktikan haknya.
