Water Services Industry Act 2006 s 3
(1) The Federal Government shall have executive authority with respect to all matters relating to water supply systems and water supply services throughout Peninsular Malaysia and the Federal Territories of Putrajaya and Labuan. (2) The Federal Government shall continue to have executive authority with respect to all matters relating to sewerage systems and sewerage services throughout Malaysia.
Kerajaan Persekutuan hendaklah mempunyai kuasa eksekutif
(1) Kerajaan Persekutuan hendaklah mempunyai kuasa eksekutif berkenaan dengan segala perkara yang berhubungan dengan sistem bekalan air dan perkhidmatan bekalan air di seluruh Semenanjung Malaysia dan Wilayah-Wilayah Persekutuan Putrajaya dan Labuan. (2) Kerajaan Persekutuan hendaklah terus mempunyai kuasa eksekutif berkenaan dengan segala perkara yang berhubungan dengan sistem pembetungan dan perkhidmatan pembetungan di seluruh Malaysia.
