s 4 Functions of Registrar
The Registrar shall have all the functions imposed on him under this Act and without prejudice to the generality of the foregoing, shall also have the following functions:
(a) to advise the Minister on all matters in relation to the administration of this Act;
(b) to implement and enforce this Act including the formulation of operational policies and procedures;
(c) to promote awareness and dissemination of information to the public in relation to the operation of this Act;
(d) to be responsible for the monitoring, controlling, supervision and regulation of credit reporting agencies;
(e) to encourage and promote the sound and orderly development of credit reporting agencies and the credit reporting sector;
(f) to create a conducive environment for credit reporting agencies to carry out their activities; and
(g) to carry out such activities or do such things as are necessary, advantageous and proper for the administration of this Act, or such other purposes consistent with this Act as may be directed by the Minister.

Fungsi Pendaftar
Pendaftar hendaklah mempunyai segala fungsi yang dikenakan ke atasnya di bawah Akta ini dan tanpa menjejaskan keluasan perkara yang disebut terdahulu, hendaklah juga mempunyai fungsi yang berikut:
(a) menasihati Menteri mengenai segala perkara berhubung dengan pentadbiran Akta ini;
(b) melaksanakan dan menguatkuasakan Akta ini termasuk perumusan dasar dan tatacara pengendalian;
(c) memajukan kesedaran dan penyebaran maklumat kepada orang awam berhubung dengan pelaksanaan Akta ini;
(d) bertanggungjawab bagi pemantauan, pengawalan, penyeliaan dan pengawalseliaan agensi pelaporan kredit;
(e) menggalakkan dan memajukan pembangunan agensi pelaporan kredit dan sektor pelaporan kredit dengan baik dan teratur;
(f) mewujudkan suatu persekitaran yang sesuai bagi agensi pelaporan kredit untuk menjalankan aktivitinya; dan
(g) menjalankan apa-apa aktiviti atau melakukan apa-apa perkara yang perlu, bermanfaat dan wajar bagi pentadbiran Akta ini, atau apa-apa maksud lain yang selaras dengan Akta ini sebagaimana yang diarahkan oleh Menteri.
