s 5 Functions of the Yayasan
The Yayasan shall have the following functions:
(a) to assist the Ministry responsible for education in organizing activities related to teacher professionalism development;
(b) to assist any party to carry out research towards the enhancement of the quality of the national education;
(c) to do all things desirable or expedient or necessary in preserving the welfare of a teacher;
(d) to assist in the education of the teacherβs child as may be determined by the Yayasan; and
(e) to do all things as the Yayasan considers desirable or expedient or necessary to the performance of its functions under this Act.

Fungsi Yayasan
Yayasan hendaklah mempunyai fungsi yang berikut:
(a) membantu Kementerian yang bertanggungjawab bagi pendidikan mengadakan aktiviti dalam meningkatkan pembangunan profesionalisme guru;
(b) membantu mana-mana pihak menjalankan penyelidikan ke arah meningkatkan kualiti pendidikan negara;
(c) melakukan apa-apa perkara yang wajar atau suai manfaat atau perlu dalam menjaga kebajikan guru;
(d) membantu pendidikan anak guru yang boleh ditentukan oleh Yayasan; dan
(e) melakukan apa-apa perkara yang Yayasan fikirkan wajar atau suai manfaat atau perlu untuk pelaksanaan fungsinya di bawah Akta ini.
