s 127 Approval as well as confirmation required for certain death sentences
(1) A sentence of death which has been confirmed shall not be carried into effect unless approved by the Yang di-Pertuan Agong.
(2) Notwithstanding the provisions of the foregoing subsection, sentence of death passed on a person on active service may be carried out without such approval as aforesaid where, in the opinion of the confirming officer, it is essential, in the interests of discipline and for the purpose of securing the safety of the force with which the person sentenced is present, that the sentence should be carried out forthwith, and the confirming officer states that opinion in the minute confirming the sentence.

Kelulusan serta pengesahan dikehendaki bagi hukuman mati yang tertentu
(1) Sesuatu hukuman mati yang telah disahkan tidak boleh dijalankan melainkan jika diluluskan oleh Yang di-Pertuan Agong.
(2) Walau apa pun peruntukan subseksyen yang disebut terdahulu, hukuman mati yang dijatuhkan ke atas seseorang dalam perkhidmatan giat boleh dijalankan tanpa kelulusan seperti yang disebut terdahulu jika, pegawai pengesah itu berpendapat bahawa adalah mustahak, demi
kepentingan tatatertib dan bagi maksud menjamin keselamatan angkatan yang orang yang dijatuhkan hukuman itu berkhidmat, hukuman itu patut dijalankan dengan segera, dan pegawai pengesah itu menyatakan pendapat itu dalam minit yang mengesahkan hukuman itu.
