s 23 Curfew
(1) The Director of Operations may, in writing, order all persons in the security area or any part of the security area to remain indoors between such hours as may be specified in the order unless he is in possession of a written permit in that behalf issued by the Director of Operations.
(2) No order under this section shall apply to—
(a) the Yang di-Pertuan Agong, a Ruler or Yang di-Pertua Negeri;
(b) any member of the Security Forces or personnel of other Government Entities when acting in the course of his duty in the security area; or
(c) any person or class of persons exempted from the order by the Director of Operations.
(3) Any person who fails to comply with the order under subsection (1) commits an offence and shall, on conviction, be liable to a fine not exceeding five thousand ringgit or to imprisonment for a term not exceeding three years or to both.

Perintah berkurung
(1) Pengarah Operasi boleh, secara bertulis, memerintahkan semua orang di dalam kawasan keselamatan atau mana-mana bahagian kawasan keselamatan untuk berada di dalam tempat kediaman atau bangunan antara apa-apa waktu yang ditentukan dalam perintah itu melainkan jika dia memiliki suatu permit bertulis bagi maksud itu yang dikeluarkan oleh Pengarah Operasi.
(2) Tiada perintah di bawah seksyen ini terpakai bagi—
(a) Yang di-Pertuan Agong, Raja atau Yang di-Pertua Negeri;
(b) mana-mana anggota Pasukan Keselamatan atau kakitangan Entiti Kerajaan yang lain apabila bertindak dalam menjalankan tugasnya di dalam kawasan keselamatan; atau
(c) mana-mana orang atau golongan orang yang dikecualikan daripada perintah itu oleh Pengarah Operasi.
(3) Mana-mana orang yang tidak mematuhi perintah di bawah subseksyen (1) melakukan suatu kesalahan dan boleh, apabila disabitkan, didenda tidak melebihi lima ribu ringgit atau dipenjarakan selama tempoh tidak melebihi tiga tahun atau kedua-duanya.
