s 67 Appointment and functions of Employment Services Officer

(1) The Minister may appoint such number of Employment Services Officer who shall have the following functions: (a) to verify on loss of employment; (b) to carry out the re-employment placement programme including job search, job counselling, job matching, job placement, career advising and vocational training; (c) to collect, analyse and provide labour market information; (d) to undertake and coordinate studies on labour and labour market issues, including social security; (e) to perform any other functions as determined by the Organization from time to time. (2) The Director General may give any direction to any Employment Services Officer as he thinks necessary to ensure that the functions of the Employment Services Officer is performed in accordance with this Act.

Pelantikan dan fungsi Pegawai Perkhidmatan Pekerjaan

(1) Menteri boleh melantik apa-apa bilangan Pegawai Perkhidmatan Pekerjaan yang hendaklah mempunyai fungsi yang berikut: (a) untuk menentusahkan kehilangan pekerjaan; (b) untuk menjalankan program penempatan pekerjaan semula termasuk pencarian kerja, kaunseling kerja, pemadanan kerja, penempatan kerja, nasihat kerjaya dan latihan vokasional; (c) untuk mengumpulkan, menganalisis dan menyediakan maklumat pasaran buruh; (d) untuk menjalankan dan menyelaraskan kajian mengenai isu buruh dan pasaran buruh, termasuklah keselamatan sosial; (e) untuk melaksanakan apa-apa fungsi lain sebagaimana yang ditentukan oleh Pertubuhan dari semasa ke semasa. (2) Ketua Pengarah boleh memberi apa-apa arahan kepada mana-mana Pegawai Perkhidmatan Pekerjaan sebagaimana yang difikirkannya perlu untuk memastikan bahawa fungsi Pegawai Perkhidmatan Pekerjaan dilaksanakan mengikut Akta ini.
