s 16 Notification of cessation of liability and cancellation of registration
(1) Any registered person—
(a) who intends to cease carrying on operations of an operator; or
(b) who intends to cease being an agent of a foreign operator,
shall notify the Director General in writing of that fact sixty days before the date of cessation.
(2) Upon receipt of the notification under subsection (1), the Director General may cancel the registration of the registered person from such date as the Director General may determine.
(3) Any registered person who contravenes subsection (1), commits an offence and shall on conviction, be liable to a fine not exceeding one hundred thousand ringgit or to imprisonment for a term not exceeding one year or to both.

Pemberitahuan pemberhentian tanggungan dan pembatalan pendaftaran
(1) Mana-mana orang berdaftar—
(a) yang berniat untuk berhenti menjalankan operasi sebagai pengendali; atau
(b) yang berniat untuk berhenti menjadi ejen pengendali asing,
hendaklah memberitahu Ketua Pengarah secara bertulis mengenai hakikat itu enam puluh hari sebelum tarikh pemberhentian.
(2) Apabila pemberitahuan di bawah subseksyen (1) diterima, Ketua Pengarah boleh membatalkan pendaftaran orang berdaftar itu dari apa-apa tarikh yang ditentukan oleh Ketua Pengarah.
(3) Mana-mana orang berdaftar yang melanggar subseksyen (1), melakukan suatu kesalahan dan boleh, apabila disabitkan, didenda tidak melebihi satu ratus ribu ringgit atau dipenjarakan selama tempoh tidak melebihi satu tahun atau kedua-duanya.
