AN ACT AUTHORIZING THE DIRECTOR OF LANDS, WITH THE APPROVAL OF THE SECRETARY OF AGRICULTURE AND NATURAL RESOURCES, TO COLLECT FEES FOR THE VERIFICATION OF SURVEYS BY PRIVATE LAND SURVEYORS, SETTING ASIDE AN APPROPRIATION FOR THE EMPLOYMENT OF PERSONNEL, AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES.

Section 1

SECTION 1. The Director of Lands is hereby authorized to collect fees from private land surveyors for the verification of their surveys at rates which shall be prescribed with the approval of the Secretary of Agriculture and Natural Resources.

Section 2

SEC. 2. The sum of thirty-five thousand pesos is hereby appropriated out of any funds in the Insular Treasury not otherwise appropriated, for the employment of junior computers and junior draftsmen, at the rate not to exceed six hundred pesos per annum each, to expedite the work of verification of surveys submitted by private land surveyors to the Bureau of Lands: Provided, however, That the payments made under the authority given herein, shall not exceed the fees actually collected under section one of this Act.

Section 3

SEC. 3. This Act shall take effect on its approval.
