AN ACT AUTHORIZING THE SECRETARY OF FINANCE TO ENTER INTO CONTRACT WITH ANY PUBLIC SERVICE COMPANY OR CARRIER FOR THE TRANSPORTATION OF PASSENGERS OR CARGO FOR THE PHILIPPINE GOVERNMENT.

Section 1

SECTION 1. Whenever the exigencies of the public service so require, the Secretary of Finance, with the approval of the Governor-General, may enter into contract with any public service company or carrier for the transportation of officials and employees, including their families, or cargo for the Insular Government at special or reduced rates and on such other special terms and conditions as said Secretary may deem satisfactory and advantageous to the Government. The provisions of any existing law to the contrary notwithstanding, any public service company or carrier may accept special or reduced rates, fares or charges provided for in any such contract, for services rendered in the transportation of officials and employees, including their families, or cargo for the Philippine Government.

Section 2

SEC. 2. This Act shall take effect on its approval.
