AN ACT CREATING THE MUNICIPALITY OF OPOL, PROVINCE OF MISAMIS ORIENTAL

Section 1

SECTION 1. The barrios of Opol, Igpit, and Lower Iponan in the municipality of Cagayan, Province of Misamis Oriental, are hereby separated from said municipality and constituted into a new municipality to be known as the municipality of Opol, with the present barrio of Opol as the seat of the government.

Section 2

SEC. 2. Upon the approval of this Act, the President of the Philippines shall appoint the first mayor, vice-mayor and councilors of the new municipality, who shall hold office until their successors shall have been elected and shall have qualified.

Section 3

SEC. 3. This Act shall take effect upon its approval.
