AN ACT CREATING THREE POSITIONS OF ASSISTANT CITY FISCAL FOR THE CITY OF LAOAG, AMENDING FOR THE PURPOSE SECTION SEVENTY-TWO OF THE CHARTER OF SAID CITY.

Section 1

SECTION 1. The first paragraph of Section seventy-two of Republic Act Numbered Forty-five hundred and eighty-four, otherwise known as the "Charter of the City of Laoag," is hereby amended to read as follows:

"SEC. 72. The City Fiscal—His assistants—His Powers and duties.—The law department shall consist of the city fiscal and three assistants who shall discharge their duties under the general supervision of the Secretary of Justice. The city fiscal and the three assistant city fiscals shall receive salaries as provided by law. The city fiscal shall be the chief legal adviser of the city and all offices and departments thereof. He shall have the following powers and duties:"

SEC. 2. This Act shall take effect upon its approval.
