Section 40
SEC. 40. Every person who refuses, after being requested by the Director of Public Works or his authorized agents, or by any police officer, to show the license or permit issued to such person to operate a motor vehicle knowing the official character of the person making such request, and every person found guilty of a violation of sections twenty-nine, thirty, thirty-one, thirty-two, thirty-three, thirty-five, thirty-six, thirty-seven, thirty-eight, or thirty-nine of this Act shall be punished by a fine of not less than five pesos nor more than two hundred pesos.
