Section 1

(1) This Order may be cited as the Damages for Bereavement (Variation of Sum) (England and Wales) Order 1990.

(2) This Order shall come into force on 1st April 1991, and shall apply only to causes of action which accrue on or after that date.

Section 2

In section 1A(3) of the Fatal Accidents Act 1976, for the figure “£3,500” there shall be substituted the figure “£7,500”.
