Section 1 Citation, commencement and interpretation

(1) These Regulations may be cited as the National Health Service (General Medical Services) Amendment (No. 2) Regulations 2000 and shall come into force on 1st April 2000.

(2) In these Regulations, the “ 1992 Regulations ” means the National Health Service (General Medical Services) Regulations 1992 .

(3) These Regulations extend to England only.

Section 2 Amendment of the 1992 Regulations

(1) In regulation 34(2) of the 1992 Regulations (payments), for sub-paragraph (e) shall be substituted—

(e) allowances for study leave;
