Section 1

These Regulations may be cited as the Blood Tests (Evidence of Paternity) (Amendment) Regulations 2004 and shall come into force on 1st April 2004.

Section 2

These Regulations apply only to samples taken on or after 1st April 2004 and in respect of samples taken before that date the Blood Tests (Evidence of Paternity) Regulations 1971 apply as if these Regulations had not been made.

Section 3

The Blood Tests (Evidence of Paternity) Regulations 1971 shall be amended in accordance with regulations 4 and 5 below.

Section 4

For regulation 12 substitute:

(1) A sampler may charge £27.50 for making the arrangements to take a sample.

(2) The charge in paragraph (1) is payable whether or not a sample is taken.
