Section 1 Citation and interpretation

(1) These Regulations may be cited as the Modern Slavery Act 2015 (Commencement No. 3 and Transitional Provision) Regulations 2015.

(2) In these Regulations “the 2015 Act” means the Modern Slavery Act 2015.

Section 2 Commencement of section 54 of the 2015 Act

Section 54 of the 2015 Act (transparency in supply chains etc) comes into force on 29th October 2015.

Section 3 Transitional provision

The commencement of section 54 of the 2015 Act (transparency in supply chains etc.) does not have effect in respect of a financial year ending before 31st March 2016.
