Section 1 Commencement and citation

This Order may be cited as the Civil Courts (Amendment) Order 2016 and shall come into force on 31st October 2016.

Section 2 Amendments to the 2014 Order

(1) The Civil Courts Order 2014 is amended as follows.

(2) In article 2(2), omit the words “the name of the district registry at Brecon shall be the Brecknock District Registry,”.

(3) In the Schedule—

(a) omit the following places specified the in the first column—

(i) Brecon;

(ii) Bridgend;

(iii) King’s Lynn;

(iv) Macclesfield;

(v) Rhyl; and

(vi) Warrington,

and the County Court hearing centres named in the second column corresponding to those places;

(b) in the first column, for the entry for “Bury St. Edmonds”, substitute “Bury St. Edmunds”;

(c) after the entry for Portsmouth, insert—

(d) in the second column, omit the references to the following County Court hearing centres—

(i) Accrington;

(ii) Conway and Colwyn;

(iii) Buxton;

(iv) Altrincham;

(v) Morpeth and Berwick; and

(vi) Tameside.
