Section 1 Citation and commencement

This Order may be cited as the Police and Criminal Evidence Act 1984 (Codes of Practice) (Revision of Codes C, D and H) Order 2017, and comes into force on the twenty-first day after the day on which it is made.

Section 2 Revision of codes of practice

The revised codes of practice laid before Parliament on 22nd November 2016 in connection with the matters referred to in section 66(1)(b) of the Police and Criminal Evidence Act 1984 (detention, treatment, questioning and identification of persons by police officers – Codes C, D and H) come into operation on the day on which this Order comes into force.
