Section 1 Citation and commencement

This Order may be cited as the Legal Services Act 2007 (Designation as a Licensing Authority) Order 2017 and comes into force on 17th February 2017.

Section 2 Designation as a licensing authority

The General Council of the Bar is designated as a licensing authority in relation to—

(a) the exercise of a right of audience;

(b) the conduct of litigation;

(c) reserved instrument activities;

(d) probate activities, and

(e) the administration of oaths .
