The Cherwell (Electoral Changes) Order 2019

Section 1 Citation and commencement

(1) This Order may be cited as the Cherwell (Electoral Changes) Order 2019.

(2) This article and article 2 come into force on the day after the day on which this Order is made.

(3) Article 3 comes into force—

(a) for the purpose of proceedings preliminary or relating to the election of councillors, on the day after the day on which this Order is made;

(b) for all other purposes, on the ordinary day of election of councillors in England in 2019.

(4) Article 4 comes into force—

(a) for the purpose of proceedings preliminary or relating to the election of councillors, on the day after the day on which this Order is made;

(b) for all other purposes, on the ordinary day of election of councillors in England in 2021.

Section 2 Interpretation

In this Order “the 2018 Order” means the Cherwell District Council (Reorganisation of Community Governance) Order 2018 .

Section 3 Alteration of district ward boundary

The area that ceases to be part of the parish of Ambrosden and becomes part of the parish of Chesterton in consequence of the 2018 Order, ceases to be part of the Bicester South & Ambrosden district ward and becomes part of the Fringford & Heyfords district ward.

Section 4 Alteration of county electoral division boundary

The area that ceases to be part of the parish of Ambrosden and becomes part of the parish of Chesterton in consequence of the 2018 Order, ceases to be part of the Otmoor county electoral division and becomes part of the Ploughley county electoral division.
