Section 1 Citation and commencement

(1) These Regulations may be cited as the Aviation Safety (Amendment) (EU Exit) Regulations 2020.

(2) Subject to paragraph (3), these Regulations come into force on IP completion day.

(3) This regulation and regulations 2 to 51 come into force immediately before IP completion day.

Section 2 Amendment of the Aviation Safety (Amendment etc.) (EU Exit) Regulations 2019

The Aviation Safety (Amendment etc.) (EU Exit) Regulations 2019 are amended in accordance with regulations 3 to 46.

Section 3 Amendment of Part 3, Chapter 2 (banned operator list)

In regulation 20(4) (amendment of Article 3 of Regulation (EC) No 2111/2005 )—

(a) in paragraph (4)(d), for “The Commission may modify the Annex” substitute “The Commission is empowered to adopt delegated acts in accordance with Article 14a amending the Annex in order to modify the common criteria”;

(b) omit sub-paragraph (e).

Section 4 Amendment of Part 3, Chapter 2 (banned operator list)

Section 5 Amendment of Part 4, Chapter 1 (initial airworthiness)
