Section 1 Citation, commencement and extent

(1) These Regulations may be cited as the State Pension Credit (Coronavirus) (Electronic Claims) (Amendment) Regulations 2020 and come into force on 4th May 2020.

(2) These Regulations extend to England and Wales and Scotland only.

Section 2 Amendment of the Social Security (Claims and Payments) Regulations 1987

(1) The Social Security (Claims and Payments) Regulations 1987 are amended as follows.

(2) In regulation 4ZC(2) (electronic claims for benefit) after sub-paragraph (j), add—

(k) state pension credit.

(3) In paragraph 2 of Schedule 9ZC (conditions for the use of electronic communication) —

(a) after sub-paragraph (1)(k), add—

(l) state pension credit.

(b) in sub-paragraph (1A), omit paragraph (c).
