(1) These Regulations may be cited as the National Health Service (Charges to Overseas Visitors) (Amendment) Regulations 2021.
(2) These Regulations come into force on—
(a) the date on which provisional application of the Convention takes effect pending its entry into force, as provided for by Article 73 of the Convention; or
(b) where the Convention has not been provisionally applied, the date on which the Convention enters into force as provided for by Article 72 of the Convention.
(3) The Secretary of State must give notice in the London Gazette, as soon as reasonably practicable, of the date on which provisional application of the Convention takes effect, or where the Convention has not been provisionally applied, the date on which the Convention enters into force .
(4) In this regulation “the Convention” means the Convention on Social Security Coordination between the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland and the Swiss Confederation signed at London on 9 September 2021.
