These Regulations may be cited as the Business and Planning Act 2020 (Pavement Licences) (Coronavirus) (Amendment) Regulations 2021 and come into force on the day after the day on which they are made (“the coming into force date”).

The Business and Planning Act 2020 (Pavement Licences) (Coronavirus) (Amendment) Regulations 2021
The amendments made by regulation 4 only apply in relation to a pavement licence under Part 1 of the Business and Planning Act 2020 (“the 2020 Act”) for which an application is made in accordance with section 2 of the 2020 Act on or after the coming into force date.
The 2020 Act is amended in accordance with the following provisions.
In section 4 (duration)—
(a) in subsection (1)(b), for “30 September 2021” substitute “30 September 2022”;
(b) in subsection (2)(b), for “30 September 2021” substitute “30 September 2022”; and
(c) in subsection (4), for “30 September 2021” substitute “30 September 2022”.
In section 10(1) (expiry of pavement licence provisions), for “30 September 2021” substitute “30 September 2022”.
