Section 1 Citation, commencement, extent and application

(1) These Regulations may be cited as the School Discipline (Pupil Exclusions and Reviews) (England) (Coronavirus) (Amendment) (No. 2) Regulations 2021 and come into force on 25th September 2021.

(2) These Regulations extend to England and Wales.

(3) These Regulations apply in relation to England only.

Section 2 Amendment to the School Discipline (Pupil Exclusions and Reviews) (England) Regulations 2012

(1) The School Discipline (Pupil Exclusions and Reviews) (England) Regulations 2012 are amended as follows.

(2) In regulation 2(1), in paragraph (a) of the definition of “relevant exclusion”, for “25th September 2021” substitute “25th March 2022”.

(3) In Schedule 1, in paragraph 2(1A), after the words “relevant exclusions” insert “occurring before 25th September 2021”.

Section 3 Review of regulation 2

The Secretary of State must review the effectiveness of the amendments made by regulation 2 during the period starting with 25th September 2021 and ending with 24th March 2022.
