Section 1 Citation and commencement

This Order may be cited as the Designation of Schools Having a Religious Character (England) Order 2021 and comes into force on the day after the day on which it is made.

Section 2 Extent and application

This Order extends to England and Wales, and applies to England.

Section 3 Designation of school

(1) The following schools are designated as schools having a religious character—

(a) Dunchurch Infant School, Warwickshire, CV22 6PA, a foundation school;

(b) St Jude’s Church of England Infant School, Surrey, TW20 0NP, a voluntary aided school;

(c) St John Henry Newman VA Catholic Primary School, Peterborough, PE7 8QL, a voluntary aided school.

(2) The religious denomination in accordance with whose tenets religious education is, or may be, required to be provided in accordance with Schedule 19 to the School Standards and Framework Act 1998 , is—

(a) at the schools designated in paragraph (1)(a) and (b), Church of England;

(b) at the school designated in paragraph (1)(c), Roman Catholic.
