Section 1 Citation, commencement and extent

(1) These Regulations may be cited as the Motor Vehicles (Driving Licences) (Amendment) Regulations 2022 and come into force on the 22nd day after the day on which they are made.

(2) These Regulations extend to England and Wales and Scotland.

Section 2 Amendment of the Motor Vehicles (Driving Licences) Regulations 1999

The Motor Vehicles (Driving Licences) Regulations 1999 are amended in accordance with the following regulations.

Section 3 Amendment of the Motor Vehicles (Driving Licences) Regulations 1999

In regulation 37 (test vehicles), in Table 1, for the entry in column (2) (specification or description) corresponding to sub-category A2 in column 1 (category or sub-category), for “395 cubic centimetres” substitute “245 cubic centimetres” .

Section 4 Amendment of the Motor Vehicles (Driving Licences) Regulations 1999

In regulation 45 (upgrading of entitlements by virtue of passing second test), omit paragraph (7).

Section 5 Amendment of the Motor Vehicles (Driving Licences) Regulations 1999

In Schedule 9 (upgraded entitlements on passing second test), for Table B substitute the table set out in the Schedule to these Regulations.
