Section 1 Citation and commencement

This Order may be cited as the Power to Award Degrees etc. (Blackpool and The Fylde College) Order of Council 2016 (Amendment) Order 2022 and shall come into force on 13th September 2022.

Section 2 Variation of Power to Award Degrees etc. (Blackpool and The Fylde College) Order of Council 2016

(1) The Power to Award Degrees etc. (Blackpool and The Fylde College) Order of Council 2016 is varied in accordance with paragraphs (2) , (3) , and (4) .

(2) For article 2, substitute—

(2) Blackpool and The Fylde College shall be competent to grant awards of the kind mentioned in paragraph 2A of section 76 of the said Act for an indefinite period beginning on 13th September 2016.

(3) Omit articles 3 and 4.

(4) After article 2, insert the following entry—

(3) Blackpool and The Fylde College shall be competent to grant up to and including bachelor’s degree awards of the kind mentioned in section 42(2)(c) of the Higher Education and Research Act 2017 for a fixed term beginning 13th September 2022 and expiring on 12th December 2025.
