Section 1 Citation, Commencement, extent, application and interpretation

(1) These Regulations may be cited as the School Admissions (Admission Arrangements and Co-ordination of Admission Arrangements) (England) (Amendment) Regulations 2024.

(2) These Regulations come into force on 28th February 2024.

(3) These Regulations extend to England and Wales.

(4) These Regulations apply in relation to arrangements under which pupils are to be admitted to schools in England for the school year 2025 – 2026 and subsequent years.

(5) In these Regulations, “ school year ” means the period beginning with the first school term to begin after July and ending with the beginning of the first such term to begin after the following July.
