Section 1 Citation, commencement and extent

(1) These Regulations may be cited as the Civil Aviation (Environmental Protection) (Amendment) Regulations 2024 and come into force on 19th April 2024.

(2) These Regulations extend to England and Wales, Scotland and Northern Ireland.

Section 2 Amendment of Regulation (EU) 2018/1139 (airworthiness and environmental protection: essential requirements)

In Article 9 (essential requirements) of Regulation (EU) 2018/1139 of the European Parliament and of the Council of 4 July 2018 on common rules in the field of civil aviation, in paragraph 2—

(a) for “Amendment 13 of Volume I,” substitute “Amendment 14 of Volume I,” ;

(b) for “Amendment 10 of Volume II,” substitute “Amendment 11 of Volume II,” ;

(c) for “in Amendment 1 of Volume III” substitute “in Amendment 2 of Volume III” .
