Section 1 Citation and extent

(1) These Regulations may be cited as the Victims and Prisoners Act 2024 (Commencement No. 2) Regulations 2024.

(2) These Regulations extend to England and Wales.

Section 2 Provisions coming into force on 2nd August 2024

The following provisions of the Victims and Prisoners Act 2024 come into force on 2nd August 2024—

(a) Section 75(1), (2), (3)(b) to (d) and (4) (whole life prisoners prohibited from forming a marriage);

(b) Section 76(1) to (6), (8) and (9) (whole life prisoners prohibited from forming a civil partnership).
