Section 1 Citation, commencement and extent

(1) These Regulations may be cited as the Housing Benefit (Habitual Residence) (Amendment) Regulations 2025 and come into force on 21st October 2025.

(2) These Regulations extend to England and Wales and Scotland.

Section 2 Amendment of the Housing Benefit Regulations 2006

In regulation 10 of the Housing Benefit Regulations 2006 (persons from abroad) , for paragraph (3B)(k) substitute—

(k) in receipt of income support, an income-related employment and support allowance or universal credit;
