Section 1 Citation, commencement and application

(1) These Regulations may be cited as the Education (Assisted Places) (Incidental Expenses) (Amendment) (Wales) Regulations 2000 and shall come into force on 1st September 2000.

(2) These Regulations apply to Wales only.

(3) These Regulations apply in relation to any school year beginning on or after 1st September 2000.

Section 2 Amendment of the Education (Assisted Places) (Incidental Expenses) Regulations 1997

(1) The Education (Assisted Places) (Incidental Expenses) Regulations 1997 shall be amended as follows.

(2) In regulation 2(2), for “£11,466” there shall be substituted “£11,718”.

(3) For regulation 2(3)(a) and (b) there shall be substituted —

(a) £71 where the relevant income does not exceed £10,901; and

(b) £37 where that income exceeds £10,901 but does not exceed £11,718.

(4) In regulation 4 —

(a) in paragraph (3), for “£10,683” there shall be substituted “£10,914”; and

(b) in paragraph (4) –

(i) for “£10,683” there shall be substituted “£10,914”, and

(ii) for “£10,504” there shall be substituted “£10,735”.
