Section 1Citation, commencement and application

(1) These Regulations may be cited as the National Assistance (Sums for Personal Requirements) (Wales) Regulations 2002 and shall come into force on 8th April 2002.

(2) These Regulations shall apply to Wales only.

Section 2Sum needed for personal requirements

The sum which under section 22(4) of the National Assistance Act 1948 a local authority shall assume that a person will need for that person’s personal requirements shall be £16.80 per week.

Section 3Revocation

The National Assistance (Sums for Personal Requirements) (Wales) Regulations 2001 are hereby revoked.
