Section 1 Title, commencement and application

(1) The title of these Regulations is the Paying Agency (National Assembly for Wales) (Amendment) Regulations 2006.

(2) These Regulations come into force on 16 October 2006.

(3) These Regulations apply in relation to Wales.

Section 2 Amendment of the Paying Agency (National Assembly for Wales) Regulations 1999

(1) The Paying Agency (National Assembly for Wales) Regulations 1999 are amended in accordance with this regulation.

(2) For paragraphs (c), (e) and (g) of regulation 2 (Interpretation), substitute the following paragraphs—

(c) “Commission Regulation” means Commission Regulation ( EC ) No 885/2006 laying down detailed rules for the application of the Council Regulation in relation to the accreditation of paying agencies

(e) “the Council Regulation” means Council Regulation (EC) No 1290/2005 on the financing of the common agricultural policy, as last amended by Council Regulation (EC) No 320/2006 ;

(g) “paying agency” has the meaning it has in Article 6 of the Council Regulation;
