Section 1 Title, application and interpretation

(1) The title of this Order is The Children and Families (Wales) Measure 2010 (Commencement No. 3 and Savings Provision) Order 2010.

(2) In this Order “the Measure” means the Children and Families (Wales) Measure 2010.

Section 2 Appointed day

10 January 2011 is the appointed day for the coming into force of the following provisions of the Measure—

(a) section 2 in so far as it applies to the Welsh authorities;

(b) section 4;

(c) section 5;

(d) section 6;

(e) section 17; and

(f) section 18.

Section 3 Savings Provision

The Children and Young People’s Plan (Wales) Regulations 2007 continue to have effect notwithstanding the substitution of section 26(1A) to section 26(1D) of the Children Act 2004 for section 26(1) in accordance with section 4(3) of the Measure.
