Section 1 Title, commencement, application and interpretation

(1) The title of these Regulations is the Government of Maintained Schools (Training Requirements for Governors) (Wales) (Amendment) Regulations 2016 and they come into force on 1 March 2016.

(2) These Regulations apply in relation to Wales.

(3) In these Regulations “the 2013 Regulations” (“ Rheoliadau 2013 ”) means the Government of Maintained Schools (Training Requirements for Governors) (Wales) Regulations 2013 .

Section 2 Amendment of the Government of Maintained Schools (Training Requirements for Governors) (Wales) Regulations 2013

In regulation 2 of the 2013 Regulations in the definition of “the school performance data training” (“ yr hyfforddiant ar ddata perfformiad ysgolion ”), for “August 2014 and called “Training for school governors in Wales on understanding school data””, substitute “January 2016 and called “Training for school governors in Wales on understanding school data ””.

Section 3 Saving provision

Nothing in these Regulations applies to a governor who, before the coming into force of these Regulations, completed the school performance data training required by the 2013 Regulations
