Section 1 Title and commencement

The title of these Regulations is the Education (Notification of School Term Dates) (Wales) (Amendment) (Coronavirus) Regulations 2020 and they come into force on 16 July 2020.

Section 2 Amendment of the Education (Notification of School Term Dates) (Wales) Regulations 2014

Regulation 4 of the Education (Notification of School Term Dates) (Wales) Regulations 2014 is amended as follows—

(a) the existing provision becomes paragraph (1);

(b) at the beginning of paragraph (1) insert “Subject to paragraph (2),”;

(c) after paragraph (1) insert—

(2) For the school year 2022-2023, a local authority must notify the Welsh Ministers of all term dates which have been determined for the maintained schools in its area for that school year no later than 31 December 2020.
